ELEVEN YEARS—

JULY 2001:  Was sentence to three years probation and a year in a drug rehabilitation center due to yet another arrest for cocaine possession. Fired from Ally McBeal just three months ago because of drug problems. Had already completed a prison term the previous year stemming from multiple drug-related arrests.

JULY 2012:  Just named the most valuable movie star in Hollywood by Vulture, a darling among studio executives while remaining a critics favorite.  Reportedly earned over $50 million for The Avengers alone. Bought a house in Milan, Italy.  Rumored to anonymously donate millions to drug rehab centers to help those with substance abuse problems.  Had a second child five months ago with his wife Susan, who he has been with for 9 years (married for 7 years).
